Mr. Marmalade by Noah Haidle
Lucy is a four-year-old girl with a very active imagination. Unfortunately, her imaginary friend Mr. Marmalade doesn't have much time for her. Not to mention he beats up his personal assistant, has a cocaine addiction and a penchant for pornography.

Larry, her only real friend, is the youngest suicide attempt in the history of New Jersey.

You won’t want to miss this hilarious dark comedy about what it takes to grow up in these difficult times.

Director Michelle Urbane has this to say about the play:

"I’m thrilled to be directing my first main-stage show with Actors’ Theatre, and I’m so very excited for the opportunity to work with the amazing team of production staff, designers, cast and crew – they’re just outstanding!

Now a bit about what I take from this play: Children absorb. That’s why we hear the phrase ‘they’re like sponges!’ They see and hear everything around them, and those observations manifest through their imaginations. Through their ‘child’s play’ we see their translation of life. It’s lovely, frightening, funny, and thought-provoking. I hope the audience sees all of this and more within our production of Mr. Marmalade."

The cast of Mr. Marmalade includes Jonathan Clausen, Ellie Gramer, Dylan Harris, Rob Karel, Taylor John Piedmonte and Krystina Schripsema. The production staff includes director Michelle Urbane, stage manager Chris Carnevale, assistant director Reagan Chesnut, set designer David Miller, lighting designer Catherine F. Dreher, properties designer Leslie Kohn, sound designer Steve Nardin, and costume designer Jessica Frymire.

Tickets range from $22.00 for adults to $8.00 for student rush tickets an hour prior to performances.  For Thursday performances, a second ticket is $10.00 with the purchase of the first ticket at full price.  The box office number to reserve tickets is (616) 234-3946
